Al_BioPic Al is a Consultant and Enterprise Architect with the Amistra Consulting Ltd., a consulting firm he founded in 2009. With over 30 years in information technology, he has acquired a diverse skill set and provides consulting services in strategic planning, business process design, enterprise IT architecture and project management. His resume includes major systems and projects at PotashCorp, the Canadian Light Source, SaskPower, SaskEnergy, Farm Credit Corporation, Sask Health and several other firms. He is currently program manager for the automated meter infrastructure (AMI) program at SaskPower.


Al has a BScEng (Electrical) from the University of New Brunswick and is a registered professional engineer. He is also a Project Management Professional (PMP) and is a TOGAF 9 Certified IT Architect (The Open Group). His business process training was received from Hammer Corporation and The Process Renewal Group.


Al is very active in the community. He is former co-chair of the SIAST Business Information Systems (BIS) Program Advisory Board, co-chair of IT for the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships held in Regina in 2010 and AVP IT Applications for the 2005 Canada Summer Games. He is also an avid soccer player and chorister.
